Any one who knows me, knows that I love products! My cabinets in the bathroom are filled with different products that I have either tried or am waiting to try. I been through a number of different skincare routines throughout my life. Growing up, I never had bad acne but struggled to find a regimen that treated both dry and normal to oily skin. My chin and cheeks constantly get dry while my nose and forehead tend to either be normal or oily depending on the season. Needless to say, trying to find one solution to treat the varying skin types on my face was no easy task. I stumbled across Beautycounter in college. I first tried the Beautycounter cream cleanser and was hooked. Below you'll find the products in my routine with links!
Beautycounter Cream Cleanser - My skin feels so fresh and clean after using this product yet not stripped. The cream cleanser is a great way to try Beautycounter. With the cream cleanser, you can get a feel for the product line scent, cream consistency and overall performance on your skin before investing more in their products. I went through several bottles of the cream cleanser before branching out into other products. Now, I use this product in the morning to refresh & revitalize my skin before applying makeup.
Beautycounter Cleansing Balm - This removes makeup like nobody's business. After a long day at work, I like to minimize the number of steps I have to take to get ready for bed. The cleansing balm removes makeup, even tough to remove mascara, and makes my skin feel amazing. I am a huge fan of the scent, and it is a best seller on the website!
Beautycounter Nourishing Rosewater Mist - This mist can act as a toner or a complexion spritz. I use it to remove impurities from my skin in the morning. It helps wake up my skin before applying moisturizer.
Beautycounter Rejuvenating Night Cream - This product is a must in anyone's cosmetic bag. This anti-aging night cream is super-charged with jambu extract - which works to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, firm, and nourishes skin. I am a firm believer that once you hit your 20's, it is never too early to add an anti-aging product to your regimen.
Beautycounter No. 1 Brightening Facial Oil - I didn't use oils in my skincare routine until recently. I was never a believer that adding oil to your face was actually really good for it. Oh boy, was I wrong. I will never go without a facial oil and use it everyday to moisturize my skin in the morning before applying makeup and at night before going to bed. This citrus-scented facial oil quickly absorbs and penetrates to awaken and replenish skin. I was hesitant at first, but it is worth the investment!
Side note: When adding a facial oil to my regimen, I tried Bio-Oil first to make sure that I liked the effects of a facial oil. Bio-Oil is tried and true and has many different uses. I highly recommend trying a product like this first, if facial oil is new to your skincare routine.
Beautycounter Lip Conditioner - The best lip balm I've ever used. Some lip moisturizers that I have tried have done the opposite of the intended purpose. They feel great when applied, but five hours later my lips are cracking, and my lipstick looks horrible. That is simply not the case with the Beautycounter lip conditioner. I apply this conditioner at night before bed and in the morning before applying makeup, and I use the "Calendula" scent.
Beautycounter Dew Skin Moisturizing Coverage - I guess this technically falls into a beauty routine, but I love the way it moisturizes my skin. Somedays, I need more coverage than others. When I do, I use this as a second moisturizer before applying foundation. This product alone provides sheer coverage super charged with SPF 20 - perfect for those hot summer days. It was rated Allure's Best of Beauty in 2015. I wear shade No. 2.
