I recently added a small gallery wall arrangement to our room, and I'm loving it! The master bedroom in our rental is not the most spacious and with a California King size bed, we don't have a ton of wall space. The gallery wall in our room is very simple; however, in my research I found that gallery walls can be complex depending on how many items you have to hang.
While, most gallery walls are solely an arrangement of photos, I really like to mix in other objects as well. The choice is yours! Here are some guidelines and templates that I found to be helpful:
- Lay out all of your pieces on the floor to create the perfect arrangement
- Create a mock up on your wall. You can use paper or cardboard, but the purpose is to make sure that everything aligns exactly the way you want it before putting holes in the wall.
- Frame your photos, if needed
- Hammer and hang
- Enjoy!
